Frisco Depot and Museum

The Hugo Frisco Depot, built in 1914 and in use until the 1960s, now houses

a museum dedicated to railroad history and items of local and county-wide

historical interest. Displays in the restored Frisco Depot Museum include a

miniature circus, a model railroad, a section of a SW Bell switching center and

an antique whiskey still. Come to the Hugo Frisco Depot Museum to view local artifacts, documents and pictures, or persue displays on various aspects of railroad construction and maintenance including photos of trains, crews, wrecks and more.

Mt. Olivet Cemetery

Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hugo is the final resting

place for rodeo greats Freckles Brown, Lane Frost, Todd Watley and Lige

Hammock. Ed Ansley, better known as Buster Brown, and William H.

Darrough, the founder of Hugo, are also buried here. Because Hugo has

been a wintering home for several circuses, a special area called

Showmen's Rest features unique headstones and gravesites for circus

performers and owners. Guided tours available for groups upon request.

Endangered Ark Foundation

The Endangered Ark Foundation is a private non-profit dedicated to ensuring the future of Asian elephants in North America, providing a retirement ranch for circus elephants, and educating the public about this endangered species. The EAF offers public tours of our facility on Fridays, Saturdays, and most Sundays. Call or book online today to take a tour of our facility and meet our elephants!

Growler Pines

Growler Pines Tiger Preserve is located in the beautiful Red River Valley of

southeastern Oklahoma. We are a private facility only open to the public by reservation for guided encounters. Your tour of our home will allow you to meet our tigers and includes our unique hands-on demonstrations showing how we train and care for them through the building of personal relationships, time, patience and expertise. Afterwards, relax as you enjoy our tigers lounging comfortably and playing amongst themselves in our ever-growing habitats.
